GBA SP G-Bank Game Roms BackupG-BANK™
Backup GBA Game Roms

G-Bank™ (Game Bank) is a miniature mobile GBA file manager and backup device for storing GBA roms ang SaveGames. Unlike others it can work separately without a connection to PC Computer. Now this is good news for pepel who use Mac OS / Linux or dont have a computer at all!

For backuping files G-Bank uses built in memory (128 Mega Bits) and standard SD (SecureDigital) or MMC (MultiMedia Cards). The cards can be up to 1 GB in size so thats 8 Giga Bits for Video Games!!! You can use the GBank without the SD card, but if you add it you will have a lot more spce to save your game roms and gamesaves on. If you have a digital camera or MP3 player most likey you already have one or two MMC or CD cads and if not they can be bought at any eletronics store. Costs less than $1 for 1MB (1MB = 8M Bits of GBA ROMS) but again - you don't need the memory card for the device to work - just a nice extra!

GBA SD / MMC Flash CardsIf needed G-Bank can be connected to PC using USB. It comes in a packae with teh USB cable and Card CD that has the installation files for Win 98. Now I have XP so I didn't even had to use the installatin CD. When you connect the USB cable to the PC (OR Mac) and turn the GAMEBOY ADVANCE / GBA SP [ON] with the G-Bank pluged into GBA the computer will automaticly recognize it as a new Removble Disc called [GAME BoY] - Nice touch from the makers of the G-Bank there ;). It works just like if you were conecting USB Flas Drive. You can drag and drop the backuped GBA ROMS from the SD to computer and also write the roms that you on the coputer back to the SD Memory Card. So if there are some demos or gba roms you downloaded from the internet you can now transfer them to the GAME-BANK and play on GameBoy the way they were ment to be played ;)

If you have a Flash Card Reader / Writer for SD&MMC you can use that to write the roms from computer to the Flash Cad and later on transfer to the internal memory but if you connect the BANK to the Computer using USB it eliminates the need for a card writer, becouse at that moment the gameboy becomes a card writer and you can write MP3, DOC ar any other files to the Flash Cards - Too bad you cant read WORD Documents on the GBA ;) but you can Read Text files, watch movies and slide shows, play music and emulate old NES, SEGA, Atari 2600, SPECTRUM, GB, GBC Roms on the gameboy using G-Bank!

GameBank work both with the orriginal GAMEBOY ADVANCE and the new GBA SP.

Features:

» Built in memory of 128Mbits
(Roms you want to play have to be transfered into this memory - you cant play them directly from the SD card, but it is realy easy to send them from the BANK to SD or from SD to BANK)

» Can use the memory of the SD/MMC card for storing files.
Cards up to 1G supported! That ultimatly gives you space to save ~200 commercial GBA Game Roms in one card and carry them with you :) Well I dont have a 1G card so:

In the G-Bank 128Mb memory you can backup/save 4 games. In the
SD   64MB = 512Mb - 16 gba game files
SD 128MB = 1024Mb - 32 gba game files

(1MB = 8Mb of gba files)
