About Flsh2Advance Cards & Linkers (2001-2004)

It seem like ages ago when Flash2Advance linkers and cards were first introduced. (In the beggining the F2A Linkers were shipped with Flash Advance Pro cards - F2A Cards are clones of the FA pro) The linker was a bran new design. Compared to the good old Flash Advance Linker or even FA Xtreme USB it was much more compact. What made this possible was the fact that it connected directly to Gameboy Advance Link port.

Now that was back in 2001 - and those vere good times. But since than the only inovation that F2A had come up with was USB linker and that was largely do to the fact that the Printer Port linker was NOT 100% compatible with GBA SP. The new USB F2A Link Cable solved the problems with SP compatibility but the Flash Cards had not seen any updates for ages. Don't get me wrong - these cards are vere realy good (the only ones in production that could be sed with GB-Bridge to play GB Color games directly without an emulator) F2A Flash Cards have been cryig to get updated to stay compatible with the new features required by the new gba roms. We vere getting tired of waiting for a patch to play the best new roms.

And so -- Flash2Advance does it again! new design to beat all of the compatition.

What is NEW in F2A ULTRA f2a ultra Unlimited Revival Buttons

1. Unlimited Revival Buttons

F2A Card is the first one GBA Flash Cart that can save a Quick Game Save at any time in any game. Regular gba flash cards work like Nintendo cartridges that alow saving the game progress only at certain places or after compleating a lever. With F2A Ultra you can save the game when and where you like. Like for example you can make a gamesave before a had Boss and if you loose too much lives just puch the Revival Button and you will restart from the spot where you made the gamesave...

Flash2Advance has named this feature "Unlimited Revival" when I would call it Quick Save ;) To make this possible you have 2 extra buttons on the Flash Catridge - see the picture above. The buttons ca also be used to play in "Slow Motion" mode and operate Menus

2. F2A Ultra - The first GBA 1G Flash Card (1024 Mega Bit)
New Fash2Advance cartridges are exat same size as the Nintendo GBA carts. Work with Gameboy Advance and GBA SP. But what is uniq about them is that f2a ultra is the first GBA Flash Card that is 1G BIG! Capacity of the models varies from 256M, 512M to 1G
(Hardware is theoretically designed for handling 2G or even bigger capacity so if the 1G is popular we should soon see even biger cards being made)

3. SRAM size inside the Cart has been increased to 8M.
New EZ-Flash 2 and XG2 cards for the 256M used 4M SRAM (seperate memory where the game saves are stores) so it is only logical that F2A will use 8M to manage gamesaves for cards that are up to 1G.

Inovation by f2a is the Compressed RAM DISK Management Mode that has been built into the cart. (similar to the stuff we have seen on PoGo Shell). Compressed RAM DISK Management Mode is compatible with the latest GBA starting-up program, and handles game saver backing-up and writing between hardware files more smoothly. This technology not just increases the number of savers, and simplifies the game saver's saving and backing-up ut it is certainly great news for those users who have multiple games stored on one Cart, or want to have many game savers for one game.

4. Utilize the latest and most precise hardware technology in the industry, to make sure it 100% compatible with all the saving functions with today's GBA, including saving 256K SRAM, 512K/1M FLASH, 4K/64K EEPROM. You will never need a software patch to modify the game (manually or automatically) before you write a FLASH CART.

5. Real Time Clock Built-in F2A Ultra RTC
Directly play Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Sapphire with 100% hardware compatibility, and with the built-in real time clock (RTC). You don't need a software patch to modify the game before writing to the FLASH Cart. (This is supposed to be the best emulation of the Nintendo cartridge built-in Real Time Clock promised to be 100% compatible at the hardware level - Only time and NEW games will show if it is relly so ;)

6. The new F2A Ultra also comes with a new F2A flash writer program
Supports Zip archive, Cheat, and with both English and Chinese interface. Further more, now you can add games to the Flash Cart, without rewrite the entire cart from the beginning. And new GBA starting-up program will gradually upgrade into a mini operating system, providing a Windows like interface, so that users can not just use the F2A Ultra playing games, listening music, watching video and eBook, but will be also able to run applications like education software. It will broadly extend the use of the ordinary GBA.

7. As using Japan-made masked ASIC by independent design
F2A Ultra has achieved a complicity, which is far ahead from our competitors who is still using programmable logic array chips, at an amazingly low level of power consuming. It is definitely the most elegant and power cost saving FLASH Cart (as same as the original game card). By using Link Port to connect standard PC's USB or Parallel Port as the direct game files or data transmission channel, all cart operations including burning the FLASH can be finished without taking the cart out of it. This feature protects GBA's cart slot and will significantly extend your GBA's life.

On Android and iPhone In Pokemon Go as you start to catch Pokemon in your area, your earn PX points and your level increases. When you get to level 5, you can start joining gym battles. It’s without a doubt the coolest part of Pokemon GO game. To participate in a Gym battle, you will need to go to a specific GPS map location and go inside a virtual gym. Mind you, this “gym” is a real location (but not exactly a gym!). Once you’re near the place, you will do one of two things – claim the gym if no one is occupying it or try to take over if someone already owns it.
The first time you enter a gym, you’ll have to pick between 3 teams – yellow, red and blue. I started with red and came across a gym that was controlled by yellow team. I had to battle with the owner of that gym so I could claim it for my team. It was a lot of fun!
