X-ROM GBA USB Linker Cable
- Connects you GBA to PC using USB. Plug into the GameBoy Advance Link
port (usually used for multiplayer link cable and the other end
goes into the pc usb port. The most simple - uses Gameboy to write
gba roms to the flash card in the cartridge slot.
- To write roms to the flash card you have to connect gba-to-pc,
turn the gameboy on holding down [Start] + [Select] and then run writer software on the computer.
- With LittleWriter software you can Patch / Hack game roms to add cheat codes or you can choose to delete trainers and intros that others have added to the rom.
- Compatible with GBA / GBA SP from any country of the world.
(Xrom Card works in Nintendo DS but he linker requires GBA/SP for writing roms).
- Use X-rom to play freeware NDS roms and NDS game demos.
(This feature requires DS Firmware Upgrade or PassMe / Magic Key)
- Now also works with NDSPatcher clean NDS ROMs dumps.

You can buy XROM 512M Flash Card & Linker set for $69 USD. At
this price it is the cheapest 512 Mb GBA Flash set on the market -
but at the same time it has some of the most advanced features and
great software. I believe that it should push the price of the other
linker like EZ2 F2A and XG2 down a bit because the older linkers with
256M flash cards costs the same or more than Gameboy Advance X-rom
512m!
Q: Does Xrom Linker have to be connected to a computer to play ROMS?
A: NO - you connect it to GBA-to-PC ONLY when you write roms and backup game saves.
Q: Does the GBA X-ROM 512 Mb need "speed patch"?
A: NO - There is no need for speed patches. Only the early models of Visoly Flash Advance cards needed speed patches, but that was a long time ago (in 2002) when the GB Advance just came out and the memory in the flash rom cartridges was low quality = slow. None of the new cards need speed hacks.
Q: Do roms requre SRAM patches or Xrom it might not save?
A: In case a pach is needed it will be automaticly applied by the LittleWriter software when you write the ROMs and you will not even notice that it is done. So no worry.
Q: Can I use Xrom with Nintendo DS?
A: Yes - Xrom flash card work on the DS. You can play GBA roms, Emulated ones and even freeware homebrew NDS ROMS and Demo NDS roms, but becouse DS doesn't have a link port you have to use GBA/SP for writing games to the cart and to play nds roms you need PassMe.
