How
Flash Advance Linker & Card work
This is a general description that works for all types of linkers
& cartridges. The software that you have to use may be different,
but the basic
operations are the same.
1. First You have to install FlashWriter Drivers, than Software
You can install:

2. Connect FlashLinker to the PC USB or Parallel (Printer)
port.
Xtreme linker can be connected to USB or Printer port, EZF Advance,
XG-Flash and (EZ-flash) to USB, Flash2Advance linker and FA Pro
Linker
to
LPT

3. Insert the Flash Card into the Linker
Inset the ReWritable Flash Card in the linker and only than turn
the linker ON. For EZF Advance and F2A Linker cables you have
yo insert the cart into the Game Boy and turn it on.

4. Open the FlashWriter Software
Double click on the linker icon to open the Flash Advance Writer/Manager
software

5. Select GBA roms to be written to the GBA Flash Card
Drag-and-drop the GBA roms that you want to write to the cartridge
into the LittleWriter window or select the roms from open/add roms
menu.
Most of GBAvance games are 32M or 64M big but some games that use
rich graphics, music and long movies in them are up to 128M big!
6.
Write GBA roms to the Flash Cartridge
Click the [Flash] or [Burn] button - depending on the software
you are using.
7. Put the Flash Card in GAMEBOY and PLAY!
If you have written more than 1 gba rom to the card when you turn
on your GameBoy you will be presented with a boot menu.
In the menu you will see names of all the games/ software/ demos
you have on the card. With the D-pad select the game to you want
to play and hit [A] or [Start]. Gameboy will restart and lunch the
game you selected!


The type of GBA ROM / game selection menu you will see when you
turn on your Gameboy depends on the software you use for writing
the roms and also you get a different menu if you use the Flash
Card to play GB/GBC roms on the old GAMEBOY or GB COLOR - the menu
will be black and white, when as menu used for GBA/GBASP can use
true color!
