EZ-Flash 2 PowerStar - Writer

Download EZ-Writer program from website or copy it from CDROM and save it to your hard disk.  Run EZWriter.exe from your hard disk. (The functions and the graphic user interfaces described here are derived from the version of EZ-Writer that is under development. So the functions and the graphic interfaces are possibly to be changed. The users manual will be upgraded simultaneously afterwards.)

EZ-Writer will show No any cart found at the left bottom of its window if there is no EZ Cart is inserted into the EZ Writer.

Insert the EZ Cart into the EZ Writer when the LED is green.

EZ-Writer will detect that the EZ Cart is inserted into EZ Writer. The Window will show the EZ II Cart is found and the state of the EZ Cart includes that the ROM left, Cheat function activity and Soft Reset function activity.

You can change the language used in the window by press the Language icon in the toolbar.

Press Open ROM in the toolbar to select the GBA Programs and add them to the File Name list. The capacity sum of the selected programs should not exceed the capacity of the EZ Cart.

You can select the ROMs to be deleted in the File Name list.

Attention: the file will be really deleted only after you execute Write ROM function.

The working table will be refreshed to reflect the state of the EZ Cart when it was written last time or it was inserted into EZ Writer by pressing the icon Refresh in the tool bar.

Press Write ROM in the toolbar will write the ROMs listed in the File Name list into EZ cart. The LED is red and the status bar in the bottom of the window will show the name of the ROM that is being written and writing duration when EZ-Writer executes write operation.

Attention: The EZ Cart maybe damaged permanently if you unplug it when it is being written.

Press Read RAM in the toolbar will backup the saver of selected GBA files from EZ Cart to the PC. Press Write RAM will download the backup savers of selected GBA files from PC to EZ Cart. 

Attention: You must select the certain ROM whose saver is to be backup or written else your saver maybe destroyed.

Cheat function and Soft Reset function is the optional enhanced function of EZII. These functions will be introduced afterwards.

Options

1.  Using Loader. You must tick Using Loader if you want to write several GBA files into the EZ Cart simultaneously. You must not tick Using Loader only if you want write 1 GBA file to the EZ Cart or the volume of the GBA file you want to write is exactly the same as the capacity of your EZ Cart or the GBA file to be written is very special

2.  Auto Remove Info. Tick Auto Remove Info will remove some useless content in the ROM to reduce the ROM's size.

Attention: This function can't guarantee always to remove the useless content. So remember to cease this function if you find your ROM can't work properly after executing Auto Remove Info.

3.  Format Cart. You must execute Format Cart operation if you are using your EZ Cart first time. You can delete all the GBA files by executing Format Cart also.

4.  ROM Check, RAM Check and Battery Check. ROM Check will check if the ROM in your EZ Cart is all right. RAM Check will check if the RAM in your EZ Cart is all right. Battery Check will check if the Battery in your EZ Cart is all right.

Attention: ROM Check will destroy the GBA files in your EZ Cart. RAM Check and Battery Check will destroy the savers of your GBA files.

5.     Language Select. With this function, you can select the language used in the Window of EZ-Writer.

6.  Loader Language. With this Function, you can select the language used in the menu of GBA.

7.     Update Date File. You can update the data of Cheat Function online with this function.

8.  Clock and Password Set. With this function, you can set the real time clock in your EZ II Cart and the password used to operate your GBA.

 F2A linker for Printer port doesn't work with GBA SP! The cards work the linker doesn't - so you have to use GB Advance to write roms or get the new F2A USB Linker that is GBASP compatible
